Always random as ever.

Yo I'm like blogging at 2.50AM in the morning and I even have a 9AM lecture tomorrow haha I'm mad. Oh anyway, I always blog to update what's up with my life these few days. And the Freshmen Orientation Camp is over! Hahaha. The camp which we paid quite a lot to get the shirts and all the identities and I can say that I've not regretted being part of this experience. Being a GL is really different from a freshie and camp in TP is really different and a whole new level higher than secondary school camps. And TP is really a school where you can feel there is a family spirit. Everyone will eventually get to know one another and it's quite cool to see people all so connected in TP. But they booze and club and party and Joyce doesn't like clubbing! Very fun to kena shot by the laser meh? If kena shot in Laser Tag terms, it means you're dead! Speaking of Laser Tag, that time when I went Bintan with my class, we went to play this Laser Quest and I think all of us agreed it was really very fun. We all sweat and everything and at the end of the day, it was really a #firsttime experience which we all would remember for long. Hee.

Oh and about FO right, my fellow GL friends help me go around asking who eyecandy me. And it turns out a lot of the Malay freshie eyecandy me! Why! So weird! Aku orang Peranakan tapi I'm still Chinese you know? Okay lah thanks for eyecandy-ing me hahaha really appreciate it. Vote for Joyce! You can also add me in Twitter, @joycefanclub yea welcome my fan! I'm S-I-C-K! Ya I know so poor thing right! If you all follow me on Twitter (which, I believe you all do.. *Ahem* ) you might have realised I've talked about me puking. Yea, I actually vomitted 11 times in total. Ya and Business School won the Orientation 7 times already! I believe my puke count have a relation to the wins for Biz School. So 7-11, it's a score and more! Hehehe. Ya lah I puked. I have stomach virus and I'm not supposed to share food with people or they also will kena. But I got no hand food mouth ok! Inside joke, my 2 friends kena HFMD hahhaa! Hey guys don't worry about me okay? I'm on the road to recovery! So I'm gonna recover by this week. At least I can eat solid food already. And I'm gaining my weight back too.

Oh oh and Joanne Peh is coming to our school! And us as Marketing students, we are gonna market her and up her image. Still thinking of ideas. Haha but I wanna come up with something great so that I can present to Joanne Peh personally! How cool would that be! Yea TP is a cool skool. It's a great place to be. Heh. I'm loving Marketing. We really get to do real life projects and not play play one. Trains us for the real world! Vibrant course too!

Aussie, here I come!

Hey everyone! I'm like now blogging from my phone haha. I'm like on the car. Uncle driving us to the airport. Actually it's not really a leisure holiday trip lor. It's like to visit my relatives. My mum's older and younger brother are living there with their family and it's the first time I'm visiting my big uncle after they moved there afew years back. Haha. How's everyone so far? I'm having my Poly holidays right now. And I just realized my younger sister has rights to skip school! That's unfair lor walao. My mummy wrote a letter for her. How come my sec school life isn't as exciting? Ahhh I can see the airport already. This means bye bye to everyone! Joyce loves you all okay! I will miss everyone! Actually I don't know if I can even buy souvenirs for people since my mum like never change any money. Guess my uncles are going to provide hahaha.

Ohh my results for this sem isn't really good. I'm a 2.98 now. Disappointed but I'm gonna do well already! And I've had the Bintan trip with my classmates! It was fun. Heh. I came back with very tanned shoulders and back. Ok bye imma miss you all!

She now has mites and it they grew a nest at her feet. Which is disgusting. So she is now on medication. But she is still very cute and very guai. And we all love her coz she is a nice rabbit. Why things are that way.

Once upon a time 2000 years ago, Adam walked with God in the Garden of Eden. They shared and talked about everything. God was Adam's best friend. Then one fine day, Eve said, "Hey Adam! This fruit, the serpent say it's called apple. He say can eat one! Won't die! " And she points to the serpent. Whose name was Devil. Then Adam replied, "Oi you sure or not? Don't bluff me leh!" Then she merely pointed to the Devil. So Adam decided to heck care, and eat the red juicy fruit that looked so enticing. As he was eating halfway and trying to swallow the fruit, God's light shone from the sky and His face appeared. "Adam, why are you eating the Forbidden fruit that I told you not to touch?! You have disobeyed me!" Then Adam got so shocked and frightened that he choked on the bit of apple he was trying to swallow. Then he dropped the apple onto the ground.

He knew no matter what he said, it was too late. Adam knew he had disobeyed God's command and sinned against God. "Adam, now you and Eve cannot remain in my garden anymore. And the bit of apple you swallowed will remain in your throat as a reminder to you of your sin against me. So I will not let you die from it, but it will remain there, even for all your sons when they finally become a real man. Now leave!" God uttered. So Adam and Eve had no choice but to leave the Garden of Eden. They made themselves some clothes out of animal skin so that they can keep their bodies covered. They went out to the fields, laboured, planted crops and Eve continue making clothes and also cooked. This went on for awhile. Everyday, Adam would look into the reflection of the river. Adam's Apple always remained there.

Adam was bored with the two person life with Eve. He needed someone else there for him. Someone that can be his best friend. Just like how God was there for him. So he prayed to God to give him a best friend. Then God sent an animal, a brown, short furred animal with 4 legs, and floppy ears. Eve got excited. "Adam look! There's an animal at our doorstep! Come see!" Then Adam abandoned his work in the backyard and went to the doorstep.

Good Lord! My prayers have been answered! "You prayed for a companion? Life with me alone very boring is it?" Eve questioned him but Adam managed to change the topic. "Eh, so what should we name him?" He smiled so sweetly that she forgot about what happened a little earlier. "Ya huh! Shall we name him after God? Since he has been caring for us so much. Look at our crops! They multiply and keep on mutiplying till we have so much food!" Then Adam thought for a while and said, "Nah, we will name him Dog. Which is the opposite of God. This animal will never be as good as God, but he shall be my best friend. Just like how God is my best friend who will always be there watching over us." then he looked over to the animal and it wagged it's tail at the couple.

So Eve shouted jubilantly at the animal. "Dog, come here!" And it barked twice, then followed the couple into the house. And they lived happily ever after.

Ohaiyo! Watatshi wa exams ended woot!(Hi! My exams ended woot!) Hahaha so happy leh honestly. I've been like not sleeping properly and my whole study break of 6 days, the first thing I did when I woke up is to study and thats all what I've been doing for the past 2 weeks. Which is really saddening. Please, Polytechnic is not just projects and fun ok! It's like after chionging projects, it's time for submission and presentations, then rest awhile, then study break, then exams! It's not what you think it is lor! Seniors lied about Poly being slack honestly. But I'm a nice senior. You have been warned!

Updates on my life! If you haven't already know, I HAVE A BUNNY! Haha and she is 3months old already, and her name is Sasha! She was really a palm size when we got her but now she has grown so much bigger! I'll take a picture of her with me next time then upload and show you guys!

Oh ya btw, the reason I'm blogging today is about my Twitter! If you haven't followed the amazing/interesting/wonderful/great/pretty/cute/lovely/joyful/*add-in-any-good-adjectives* JOYCE yet, my Twitter account is joycefanclub ! Ya lah be my fan lah hahaha. My tweets aren't locked/private but I'm now thinking to actually make it private because I am a secret agent so my life should be abit private. Ya and that's why I don't check-in to Foursquare coz a secret agent's whereabouts is a confidential thing. Just like how a thief does not check into Fourquare after robbing, unless they are dumb. (Which I am not. I repeat, NOT!)

Ya and I want to lock my tweets now mainly because being so open about everything, strangers have started adding me and I really don't know them at all. I mean, really a lot of random Angmohs are adding me and I really don't know who are they can!! Like erm, okay this is not all the people but some that I have screenshot from my dear Chiku(iPhone 4).








Ya you can read lah. Two men who are like around my grandpa's age. One is a Bishop and he has so many followers! I wonder why he followed me honestly. Not like I'm some very prominent figure. And this other man is erm, just some guy whom I really don't know. Then there are female angmohs who add me and I went to see their twitter account and like they followed around 30 plus people or something. Out of the 30 plus, they actually followed me. Shouldn't your first few followers be your friends? As in the first few people you follow. Unless you really have no friends and all the people you follow are random people. And then today I received a mentions from this angmoh guy and he said he is some artist asking me to support his youtube page, if I subscribe to him, he will sub back. Then ok lah maybe his work is quite good, so I clicked the link that was attached. Then thank God the video was flagged. The title wrote like "Creating art with Porn." And I was like "Wth..-.- Americans why like that?"

Honestly, I'm just some Chinese girl and no, I don't have an American accent at all. Just a normal Singaporean girl (and I bet you don't even know where is Singapore. Nope, not in China tyvm) who has a twitter and a blog and I actually only want people who know me or are my friends to be my follower. Okay maybe you are interested in my life or somehow found my twitter name from somewhere but I won't follow you back because I only follow people who I know or would want to learn from. Like different Pastors, different leaders who are strong pillars of HOGC! Anyone from HOGC who follows me I will follow back! Because I know we all have the same purpose Amen? Haha but not you all angmohs who live in Texas or something. Just like you don't know where is Singapore, I don't know where Texas or Canada or Florida belongs. Exams are like tomorrow and I was actually very nervous and scared about it. Then I attempted past year papers and I lucky I can do! So I think still okay lah. I never liked Economics. God, please bless me to get an A tomorrow!

Exams and studies aside, I am super sensitive when guys touch my head or pat my on my head. I don't know. To me, it's like if you do that means you like me. Hahaha sounds weird right? It can be explained this way lah. It's just like my daddy putting his loving hand on my head and patting me. Like sayang me and it makes me feel like a little girl, like so loved or something. Ya, so which guy do that to me, I will get very sensitive, make me feel like a little girl and I will also think that person like me! So if you don't want me to think you like me, better not do that to my head! You do this I will also be more inclined to like you leh. Shit lah. So now I also know! After reading this, whoever touches/pats my head, means you purposely want me to like you. Thus, I will avoid you at all cost coz you are trying to make me tweeterpatted. Tweeterpatted(pronounced as twitter-pay-ted) means like you are in that state of love where everything is blind to you and makes you go goo-goo and ga-ga. Which is not what I want to behave! You have never seen that word before? Oh, I took it from the cartoon Bambi. The Owl describe that as tweeterpatted. Hehehe. Yea, I like taking stuffs from places. I remember my cartoons very very well. Especially Disney movies! The Ariel song Part of Your World I totally know the whole song can! Ok actually, I know almost all the Disney songs. Hey blog. I abandoned you again. Haha I might as well give you a new name, called Dusty coz it's like you're an item I left in the cupboard to collect dust. And I only take out like sometimes then I blow (HAR CHIU!) or wipe the dust away. Hahaha okay lah I'm just so lame. Ohh! I've learnt some Korean Language! Lameyo is pronounced as lame-your and it means lame. So one two three Joyce is lameyo! Hahahahaha ok I myself happy can already. Okay teach you some real one. Jinjayyo? Means "Really?"

The reason I'm up at 2.45AM blogging is because, I just completed by Business Statistics project and I'm sending it to dear Lynnie, and I'm also painting my right hand's nails as I messed them up with messed up designs and so I'm redo-ing the whole hand. Now it's leopard print nails lah but it doesnt really look leopard print, so I just tell people abstract art lah. Hahaha quite nice hor!

Okay, do you think I'm too lenghty? Aiya, no right? Anyway, I've been thinking if I should cut my hair short. Coz it's getting boring, this long hair with nothing done to it before. So I wanna zhng my hair! What should I do? Japanese perm? I don't know. But the guys advise me not to cut short. They say I can't carry it off. So I have to remain my sweet girl hair lah like that. Okay it's 3.00AM now and I'm done with my "abstract art" nails! Hahaha ciaos!

A great woman.

This post is specially dedicated to my great grandmother, (yes, you heard right) who passed away due to a heart attack on Thursday afternoon. Yup, another death in my family, and I would be going to her wake later. So soon, and yet another funeral. I guess it's because I'm getting older and therefore its inevitable that people around me pass away one by one. But that's so sad right? I guess, no one can stay by your side forever, therefore we have to always treasure what we have now and the people around us, instead of constantly wishing for things we didn't have.

My great grandmother, which we fondly call Tai ma, is really a great woman I admire. She is really strong and I'm really proud to have her as my great grandmother. I'm not really sure if my version of her life story is like that lah but I think mostly is true. She had 2 husbands. I don't know much which one is which but they both weren't around when I was born lah. I think the first one, came from China and married my taima and after awhile, his wife and son came from China to look for him, then she realised she was actually the second wife and I think he went off with them, abandoning her. The second husband was I don't know how much later, but my Ah mah was from her second husband. And after having several kids, it was the Japanese Occupation period, and he was taken away by the Japanese. And you all know the massacre, where they pulled men into a truck to be taken to Changi to be shot and killed. He never came back, so they all supposed he is death lah. My taima, single-handedly took care of all her children. I don't know how she got the money, she bought land in Singapore and rented all these kampong houses to coolies who came to work in Singapore. Then, she would cook like noodles with veg or something to sell to these workers for lunch and dinner. From there, her business sorta grew and she became more and more prosperous. I guess God is watching over her and helping her to lighten her burden in taking care of all her kids lah. Actually I'm not even sure how many grand uncles and aunties I have but definitely more than 5. So, life became better for all of them. When we go over for CNY, my Taima is always sitting at the same spot where she will be the first to see anyone who comes into the house. And we will all go hug her. And her hands are all wrinkled and old, but they still feel so nice to hold. And she, being so old, will give everyone at least $10 lor. And all the adults who give her money, she will go to the room, take out the money and give back half. Coz she really don't need the money but have to accept coz all the adults will push it to her. Haha and she is always so nice and I really love her!

Dear Taima,

no matter where you are right now, I just wanna tell you that I love you and thanks for being so strong and everything. I will always remember this spirit you have. To raise up your kids no matter the circumstances. You taught me to always be strong no matter what happens. I will always smile everywhere I go! Thanks and I love you!

ANGRY!

I'm so angry right now and upset why are there humans like that. I just watched this video where this man, speaking Cantonese, don't know where he is from lah, is like training his brown toy poodle how to beg. Like stand on two hind legs and put the front legs up. Then the dog doesn't do it right and he slaps the dog. At some point, he slapped so hard that the dog totally flew so far. Like kena flinged somewhere else. It was yelping in pain and all the man cares about is if the dog is on it's hind legs with front paws held high in begging position. I know some people like to train their toy dogs how to beg, but are these dogs beggars? Why must they beg you for their food when it's you who has decided to buy them and take care of them for life? Aren't dogs a man's best friend? Is this how you treat your best friend? By slapping and scolding when one party does not do things right?

Dogs have to be slowly taught. Nobody can learn something just like that. Not even you, Mister Mean! I bet you have never read any books on dogs and therefore you don't know how to care for your animal. Dogs have to be taught slowly. Without punishments, but rewards when they have done well. This is called positive reinforcement. Not to beat them up or throw them anywhere you like when they didn't do their tricks right! Hello, what if your mum flinged you or slapped you till you fly across the room, just cause you didn't do a Maths question correct? There are so many more chances for you to learn and parents don't do that because they love you and because they know thats the wrong treatment! Dogs need love. They too are animals and have a life. Just because they do not have the ability to speak up doesn't mean you can be a tyrant and bully animals like that. Don't say outsiders have no rights to say please. Everyone is saying and hoping you go to jail or at least reflect and know your mistakes are wrong!

Dogs are just like children. They need to be slowly taught and nutured, and cared for even when they do wrong! And it's not even like the dog peed everywhere or bite everything. JUST BECAUSE THE DOG DIDN'T DO IT'S TRICKS RIGHT! Hello man, you are seriously inhumane. At one point of the video, the dog already showed you its begging and stood there for a few minutes. Why can't you be happy and let the dog go? How long you want the dog to stand there like that! You think dogs naturally stand on hind legs only isit? The front two legs is hands like us? It's just like me asking you to do handstands forever untill I'm happy. You can meh please! Before doing anything, you should put yourself in other people's shoes. Have you ever considered how the dog might feel? Scared, fear, pain, sadness. Imagine the person you have to live with will abuse you every single day. I bet the dog confirm very scared lah. "If I do anything wrong, he will hit me agian." Then, out of fear, he tries to stand up. But due to the hurt on it's body, it's unable to give you what you asked for. It's tired, for standing on it's hind for so long. It's tired, from experiencing the pain, after being flinged halfway across the room.

My uncle's dog, Princess, does not know any tricks anymore! Except sit and paw. But still, we love her nontheless because she is already considered to be part of the family! And no matter what wrong she does, if she bites the table cloth or steals shoes, we will shout "Princess! Drop!" Or sometimes we just snatch it back. But when she wants people to play her bone with her, we still do it. When she wants people to stroke her, we gladly. Coz we love her. And she does know what is family! When there are strangers at the door, she will bark continuously because she wants to tell us "oi! Got stranger!" And when I come over to the house! She will bark once or twice to tell the maid that "Joyce Jiejie is here! Open door! I got friend already!" Then her tail would be super waggly which makes you also happy to see. It depends on your value system. What you take something to be. Dogs will only be around for a maximum of ten years. Why not we love them throughout their ten years here? When they pass on, we will still be around and we will remember then and if you have never treated them well, then don't you think it will be too late to regret? Don't you think it will be sad for yourself if you constantly have to live in fear? Fear of what your close ones might do to you. What if I don't master this trick today? Am I strong enough to withstand today's punishments? The dog will sooner or later fall into depression, and thus die earlier lah. Please, once we made a committment to buy the dog or take it home, we have to treat it well and love it like it's our family member. Like it's our little baby. Like it's one of us. Can we all start loving our pets a little bit more today? Before they go, less you regret. If you want them to live on this earth happy, then please do your part. They might just be animals, but you and I are once all like them. Slowly growing up, learning things, getting the care and attention from our parents. Our parents didn't treat us this way, did they? Let's show some love today.

HARRRR CHEW!!! Woah so much dust here!! *Wipes off the dust with MagiClean* Okay! Clean now!!!! Been so long since I last blogged. I'm so sorry I neglected you! Actually I've been neglecting everyone else as Joyce had been busy with projects and everything. MY mid sem results ain't fantastic, no where near satisfactory to my eyes. So imma have to put double efforts to get A for projects!! Thus the long hiatus! It's like as though I went on a long vacation or something. Oh I am going on a vacation soon! Haha I would be going to Australia in April so don't miss me. And I went to Universal Studios Singapore last week! Bought "I *insert heart shape* USS" shirts and a laptop bag for myself. Heh. I actually thought it was quite fun. But really small! As in like, there weren't many rides available. My favourite was The Mummy ride. It was quite cool leh woohoo!! Then next in line is the kiddy junior roller coaster in Far Far Away. I went Far Far Away that's why long time never blogged! Haha ok lame. Why no mention of the Battlestar Galactica? Oh, coz right, I sat that ride pretending to be a hero, then I daringly went to sit the Cyclops one which had dangling feet, ended up with a puking Joyce at the end of the ride. Not cool... Okay lah! I was kidding! I love roller coasters actually! The feeling when you are thrown off your seat. I get that alot. Even in the Viking Ship in Escape Theme Park! And I did not get to ride the Battlestar coz it isn't opened yet boo... *inserts weeping face* It's quite funny because one of my friend's name is Weeping! So when you call him, you just have to give the sad face! Hiak hiak hiak! A few photos of USS! By few I mean like really little. By little I mean like 2. Okay what else? Can I tell you why I love my Chiku (iPhone 4)? Remember I haven't named my iPhone 4 hor! And I'm calling it Chiku! Coz it has this baby pink casing right now and I attached this handphone strap on it, that has a chick in an egg and you can open and close the egg. Super cute! Hehehe okay maybe if I change cover and everything, it will look totally different and it won't suit the name Chiku! So I guess by that time, Chiku will have a new name! Hehe.

Oh I love Chiku, because firstly, there is dual cameras!! That makes it easier to take photos of others, take photos of yourself, no need to measure or do Physics formula to calculate how high we should position our hands so that can capture everyone! Hehe. And and got flash also lor! There is this thing which says "HDR" and when you turn it on, it makes the photos super clear and High Defination! Ok maybe HDR stands for Hi-Def. Hmm.. Oh! Also you can take photos of people behind you if you want, using your inner camera. Like example a hot guy or girl. Hahahah what? Nooo!! I don't do that hor! Really never!! Argh, never mind.

The iPhone 4 also has many apps and you can play games the whole day! It really has many many apps lor. So many games and also Photography apps got alot of different effects and all. It's damn cool lah! Got a lot of games also, depending on what you like. For me, I like cutesy games, so actually a lot of my friends complain my games are lame. But I like can liao what! Actually I don't know so many games is for who lor. For you or for your friends to play. Or show off to your friends. Like when they're bored, they will ask for your phone. And then you can proudly lend them. Then the games many many and they will like, "woah, u a lot of games! I like to play your phone." Then you can do the heart laugh (which is outside act like nothing but inside you are like laughing) which I always do. Hahaha.

Therefore, I love my iPhone 4. I love Chiku coz she can have so many clothes lah can randomly change. Not many phones can have different casings found everywhere! Hehe and I don't like BlackBerry. They are worst enemies! BB is a keypad phone and I don't like the keypad with all the letters all out there. I think very hard to press lor! And also iPhone is heat sensor one! Means if in your pocket, it won't anyhow press and go anything!! Okay lah, my younger sister went to sleep and she is now awake and before she went to sleep, she did not switch off the computer, so I woke up first huh, then I used the com lor. Happy New Year!

It's a new year already but I just don't have the feeling that I'm jumping to the next year. I don't feel smarter, wiser and everything! Booo! 2010 was really eventful. I went to church, I became a Christian. Tried to get the boyfriend to believe what I also believe in, but it didn't work out. Birthday in June, family time this year was better than 2 years ago coz sec 3 and 4 I was more of concentrating with my BGR. Then Sept, it ended. My very first relationship. Cried and everything. People were there to comfort me. True friends. I think I got over pretty fast. Maybe the spark was all gone. We were doing the same things week after week. But I'm glad I'm not in a relationship right now. Family ties are stronger than before. Then wow, knew ALOT of people this(last..ahem. Haven't gotten used to saying 2011 yet) year! My facebook friends like jump jump jump and now its 966 I think. Haha. My friend and I had this bet. If I overtook his Facebook friends, he will have to cook for me MUAHAHA and I won! The marginal difference is like 30+ people hohoho. Okay lah I have nothing much to say. I summarised my 2010. Now for my resolutions, which I prolly won't follow!

RESOLUTIONS OF 2011:
1) Exercise and get flat abs!
2) To up my bank account to $----.
3) To read my Bible everyday!
4) To bring smiles to people by loving everyone around me. Hehehe
5) GPA 3.8 yo!
6) Get a slack job. Like a Frolicks girl or Best Fries Forever or Red Mango or get paid doing modelling! And work on my free days like Tues and Thurs.
7) Start learning driving! Yes! And get my license too!
8) Become prettier hahahaha!
9) Perfect skin FTW!
10) Clear all enemity!
